WordPress maintenance is an essential part of operating your site because it keeps your website running smoothly and securely.

#1 Website Navigation

Your navigation is a prime piece of real estate on your website! You want this space to be simplistic and clear because it’s one of the first places your potential customers will browse 👀 Once a month, check the links in your navigation and clear out any options that no longer serve you.

With my Worry-Free Maintenance clients, I can handle this monthly task for them. And not to brag or anything…but I’m pretty good at coming up with simplistic navigation titles 😉

#2 Give the Boot to Old Plugins

Nothing weighs a website down quite like old plugins. Each month, you should be removing plugins that are no longer relevant to your site. For example, if you were to switch email providers, you need to ditch the old provider’s plugin.

• Antispam Bee – No one likes spam comments. Antispam Bee keeps spam comments at bay.
• Quick Featured Images – This plugin helps you quickly change over featured images on your post and see all the images at a glance.
• WP Rollback – This plugin keeps you protected! If you update a plugin and it doesn’t sit right with your website, you can roll back to the original version.

#4 Reorganize Your Dashboard

Ever feel personally victimized by your dashboard 🙋🏻‍♀️ You can actually rearrange your dashboard to fit your personal needs and keep it looking clean. This is a WordPress maintenance task that will leave you feeling relieved.
