Pasta is always a quick go-to for me. It requires minimal thinking and you can pretty much through any meat or veggie with it and your home free. Tonight I’m sharing my mix up of shrimp, tomato basil pasta sauce and penne noodles.

Shrimp Tomato Basil Pasta

Ingredients
  • Shrimp: uncooked & peeled
  • Penne Pasta or anything you may have in your pantry
  • Tomato Basil Sauce (or make your own, crush up tomatoes and use fresh basil leaves to season)
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Butter
  • Salt & Pepper
Instructions
  1. Heat a pan on medium high heat, add butter and melt. Also put a pot of hot water on the stove top.
  2. Season the shrimp with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  3. Add shrimp to the pan and saute until shrimp are pink and plump, about 5 minutes or so.
  4. Add your pasta to the boiling water and season with a handful of salt, cook according to the package directions.
  5. Add your tomato basil sauce to the shrimp pan and simmer on low until heated.
  6. Drain pasta and add to the pan with sauce and shrimp, tossing the pasta around to get coated.
  7. Serve with Parmesan cheese and ENJOY!

    Hi Alexis
I'm joining your party today, thank you for it!
Your pasta looks great, but unfortunately I can't eat it. I'm a vegetarian (and actually we're not allowed to eat seafood – religiously)

  2. This looks incredibly yummy! I just know that my boyfriend and I would love this recipe. It's on my to-do list now šŸ™‚

I'll have to try to remember about coming back to link up tomorrow–but I've been terrible lately. So crunched for time! I love shrimp and pasta, so this is a winning combination! Thanks for linking up with the Tasty Tuesday's Link-up. I have pinned your post to the Tasty's Tuesday's Pinterest Board! (Creative K Kids)
