Laugh Eat Learn: Best of 2015

Best of LEL

Wow, what a year 2015 has been! In my personal life, a few amazing things happen: I moved in with Jonathan, made a huge switch from full time to part time, ventured out to meet my blogging besties in Vegas at the TPT Conference, completed my first year of grad school, and began a new teaching position! Laugh Eat Learn has blossomed so much during this year too (as Jonathan predicted at the end of 2014). Not only did I step out of my comfort zone multiple times, I begun Laugh Eat Learn Designs, continued to share my love of creating within my TPT store, begun focusing more on photography (like I use to love to do!) and strong content within my blog, built a collection of recipes to share (it helps having Jonathan here to taste test) and continued to build multiple friendships through my little blog. As this wonderful year wraps up, I wanted to start a new tradition here at Laugh Eat Learn, the best of 2015 (and so on…) to reflect on all of the blog posts I’ve shared throughout the year. So let’s go ahead and walk down memory lane!

At the beginning of the year, I shared how to add your instagram photos to your blog posts. It’s really quite easy to add and makes building that connection to your social media even better!

I shared how we celebrated Valentine’s day with these handprint heart artwork. We used our school wide trait of the month to guide the conversation around Kindness.

Throughout the first part of the year, I struggled with homework with my 3rd graders. I finally broke out of the runt and figured out a new way to accomplish successful and quick homework for all my students (and their busy schedules).

After a crazy amount of emails, I got frustrated and began searching for ways to organize my gmail account. I figured out a quick and easy way to organize your email into categories and color coded awesome-ness. Do I need to say more??

His & Her Office Space
I joined Ashley and Angie again to share my home office space (my second favorite place in my house, can you guess what is first?) After moving in with Jonathan, we had a office to plan to share between the two of us. I had so many ideas and absolutely loved putting this post together!

Building Vocabulary through CCD
One of my favorite posts of the year was putting together this “how to” build vocabulary through a CCD. I’ve practiced Project GLAD in my classroom for over 3 years now and love the process of learning through total physical responses.
