How to Create a High-Converting Sales Page

Websites

Woman typing at her computer

Launching a new product or course is exciting and time-consuming. There is so much that needs to be done, and you may not have the budget to hire for all those tasks. 😅 The good news is you can still have a high-converting sales page and a successful launch, without hiring a copywriter or a website designer. It’s all about having a good sales page template to follow!

Creating a High-Converting Sales Page

A sales page is one of the most important aspects of your launch. It needs to be compelling, speak to your audience, and address their hopes and hesitations. What makes a high-converting sales page is knowing what to say, and how you layout the information so it’s easily consumable and clear.

I want to walk you through how I laid out my WordPress Sales Page Template, so you know what elements to include on your sales page.

#1 Headline and Subheadline

The first phrase, sentence, or question on your sales page (AKA the headline) is also the first thing people read, which means it’s the most significant thing you’ll write. No pressure. 😬 On a high-converting sales page, this headline is benefit-driven.

Using specific language, you’ll let potential buyers know from the get-go what kind of result or transformation they can expect. I like to think of this headline as the main promise of your offer. The subheadline, which is the smaller text underneath, adds additional clarity, such as a short description of the offer.

#2 Show Your Solution

What makes your product or course stand out from the rest? In this section of your sales page, you’ll explain the benefits and features included. This is your chance to set yourself apart from the competition and let potential buyers know why they should invest. How will it benefit them? How will it solve their issue?

#3 Social Proof

Social proof, otherwise known as reviews or testimonials, gives your sales page a boost of credibility and expertise! They signal to your potential buyer that you’re not making things up – this product has helped others. Social proof also gives specific examples of the transformation and results people have experienced.

You can include social proof on your sales page by screenshotting DMs, emails, or other positive feedback you’ve gotten. Or you simply quote the feedback on your sales page.

#4 Compelling Call-to-Action

A high-converting sales page has a clear, bold CTA. It gives your potential buyer a next step and converts them to a paid customer. You can use a CTA like “join the course now” or “grab your template”. The more specific, the better! Make sure you include your CTA in multiple places across your sales page, so it’s easy to find.

#5 Address Objections and FAQs

Your sales page shouldn’t just tell buyers what they’ll get. It also predicts (using market research) what hesitations and questions customers might have. This helps them feel confident investing in the offer because they don’t have any lingering questions or concerns. Include a section on your sales page for a short FAQ and objection-busting.

#6 Keep the Sale Page Simple

It’s not just about the words on the page, though. A simple, visually appealing design will keep your potential customers scrolling and make it easy for them to find the information they need.

Before and after using a sales page template

That’s why I designed my WordPress Sales Page Template with clear sections, white space, and a simple layout. It’s easy to navigate, and even easier to set up. Just add in your text and images, and adjust the color palette and font to fit your branding. No need to build a sales page from scratch – I’ve done the work for you!
