Happy Friday, June 6th!

It’s been awhile since my last Friday post! I’m very excited that I finally have the energy to sit down and do one! It has been one of those crazy weeks when you are running around with your to do list in one hand and your 3rd coffee in the other. It is a Happy Friday because in a few hours it’s the weekend!

1. Almost summer

7.5 days left, that’s all! My kiddos and I are chugging along, going through the motions trying to ignore our excitement from our countdown.

2. Whiteboard helper

I am lucky enough to have this HUGE whiteboard in my office area. Towards the end of the year I always write down all the standards I still need to hit before the last day. Teaching two grade levels means double everything. My students and I got in the groove the last couple weeks and tackled a TON! Look at my whiteboard now on the right!!!

3. Almost ready

With TONS of help from my parent volunteers, I’veΒ have been preparing for next year already! I’ve already gotten my morning work and data tracking books copied, laminated and binded! My next goal is getting their BEE Folders done and ready!

4. Birthday weekend

This last weekend I celebrated my brother’s birthday with the family! It was a gorgeous day out and we celebrated with a garden shopping, Cuban food and a mini pool party!

5. Slant box fun

This month I participated in the SLANT BOX exchange hosted by Lessons with Coffee. I sent off my package to Misty from Krazy About Teaching and received a AWESOME box from Jennifer at Stories And Songs in Second Grade! I’ll be posting on all my goodies soon!

I’m a cuban and puerto rican, living in Seattle, Washington with my husband and pup. I absolutely love working with fellow solopreneurs and online business owners who want their websites to stand out and shine online. ✨

Oh, I love me some fried yucca, plantains, and lechon with white rice…YUM! btw, I keep trying to follow you, but I can't an error :/ I can't believe you're already ready for next year, good for you!

    • Oh no! πŸ™ I just checked it too and it seems to be dead. I'll do some investigating and get back to you. πŸ™‚ Either way you know your cuban food, SO GOOD!

  2. Suzy Palmer says:

I'm so glad I found your blog! Thanks for the link up, what a good idea! I also love to cook (especially on a lazy Sunday). I'll be following you.

  3. Alexis, I LOVE the idea of binding the morning work for all the students! I just freaked my husband out because I may have made a super loud noise when I realized what you did! I'm totally going to have to do that! I'm trying to spread the word – sorry for the shameless plug – I'm starting a new linky party for the summer called Sell It Saturday. I have a smaller blog, but if you're ever interested in joining in, that'd be great!

    Teaching In A Nutshell

  4. hey gal! i am contacting people that linked up in the last 5 on friday linkup…that has since been put on hold for the summer. well…if you were interested, a friend of mine and i are starting it back up! the first one will be live this friday morning! prepare your post! πŸ™‚ it's going to be called "oh hey, friday!" it'll be the exact same rules. write about five anythings. hope to see you there! karli from
