Happy Friday, June 13th!

1. Friday the 13th

Oh no, Friday the 13th?! As I write this, I’m PRAYING that the day goes smoothly. It’s our last full day of school (besides field day on Monday but who counts field day as a school day!). I have a lot of cleaning planned for the kiddos with some crosswords, reading and board games thrown in. Good luck to anyone left in school!

For realz.

2. End of Year Cleaning

End of the year clean up is so much fun! I’m lucky to have such an amazing group of kids that will do anything I ask them to do! I literally dumped all the books on the carpet and they went at it, organizing, sorting and cleaning all of our classroom library! Where were they last year?!

Bonus: We got our classroom t-shirts fromΒ Whitney Daniel Designs!

3. Weekend full of sales

Spent last weekend with one of my best friends. She lives on a island and around this time every year the whole island has a massive garage sale! We decided to sell this year and we did so good! It was a beautiful day, I made a lot on all my stuff and it was nice to pick up a few things like my summer project, a new guided reading table!

The beautiful view and my new wallet I got with all my earnings!! In LOVE!

4. Grandma time

Booked a trip to see my lovely grandma in Las Vegas. My dad and I are going out there to visit, eat a whole lot of Cuban food and relax. I can’t wait to see her and cook with her! I’m going to be taking copious notes on all her tricks of the trade in the kitchen. Side note, I’m born and raised in Vegas and completely see it through different eyes, so gambling for me! So boring! πŸ™‚

My little grandma and I. Can you tell why I call her that? πŸ™‚

5. My little garden

One of the projects I’m looking forward to the most is working in my garden. Currently, my garden is a raised bed with tons of weeds but my hope is to get it all together, ASAP. Nothing better than walking outside to collect your goodies from your personal store. I’m planning on moving the raised box to the backyard so it has more direct sunlight and I’ve been pinning away on what I want it to look like!

My garden from last year!

  1. Your grandma is adorable! So great that you have a fantastic group of kids to help you with clean-up…we're actually holding our annual office clean-up today, and I'm dorkily excited to have everything neat and organized haha! Happy Friday!

I love gardening too! I've had a really hard time this year, not because I'm lacking a green thumb, but because my dog is out to murder every plant. So far I have a cantaloupe plant that is flowering! (I get so excited about my plants!) I love your class shirts! I pinned that picture so I will remember I want to order them next year.

  4. LOVE that t-shirt! I also have garden boxes that are full of weeds that I need to tend to soon! The weather is nice, but the bugs are awful! lol
