Happy Friday, August 9th!

Lifestyle

Happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s already the 9th of August! The school year is just a few weeks away. Not exactly sure how I feel about that… šŸ™‚

1. Nails done!

I love getting my nails done! In honor of the last month of summer, I decided to get something bright and flashy!

2. Read, read, read!

I decided on my last camping trip that I was going to bring two copies of the same book with me to my big camping trip to California. That way I can use the iPad at night as a book light in the tent and the real copy of the book will easily be able to go on the boat or tube on the water without having a panic attack over the security of my iPad! Hopefully it works!

3. Camping Food!

As I stated above, I’m leaving tomorrow for my huge camping trip in California with my family. Earlier in July I threw together this recipe for spaghetti sauce and everyone loved it! So I’m making a huge batch as we speak for the trip. Stay tuned for the recipe!

4. 2013-2014!

After a awesome planning session (and catch up) with my new teammate, I was finally ready to sit down at the computer and create this years planbook! I’m beyond excited to complete this project when I get back! I’m still deciding if I should put this on TPT or keep it to myself.

5. Sewing 101!

My first BIG project (next to the planbook) is all the sewing I need to do for around my classroom. I have a TON of windows I want to cover and a few other things so this is the first thing I will try to do when I come back from California!

    Hi Alexis,

I will certainly stay tuned to learn how those curtains turn out. I want to learn to sew but never make the time. Enjoy your camping experience!

  2. Hope you have a great camping trip!

I've been thinking about making curtains for my room too. Looking forward to seeing how yours turn out.

  3. I'd love to see your curtains! I made some last year to hide the storage bins and I love the way they make the room look. As an art teacher, getting my nails done would be pointless waste of money, which always makes me sad šŸ™ BUT I was thinking about just giving it a shot this year and doing my own every week. So what is with the special nail?? I've seen a few people have that one nail a different color … I'm old and out of it LOL!

    • I will take a picture of my curtains next time I am at school! I forgot to snap one before leaving today! Give your nails a shot!! I love all the fun colors I can do with them. If you get a pink and white set they last WAY longer! About the color, I just wanted a little bit of change on my nails! šŸ˜€
