Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!! With it being a Friday, full moon AND valentine’s day… I really hope everyone survived. I gotta say, I’m GLAD its Friday and it’s over! It was INSANE.
My friend and I competed (in his home!) in another chopped. There was 3 rounds: appetizer, entree and dessert with 3 different secret ingredients for each round chosen by our “judges”. It was a interesting yet long day but the outcome was awesome. I love the feeling of throwing RANDOM things together to create a somewhat tasty dish! I’ll be sharing about our adventure soon!
Seattle has gone insane over the Seahawks winning! Literally insane. It makes me happy to see my city so excited about something positive but seeing this car was a LITTLE overkill. To each their own, right??
After chopped, I sadly believe I got food poisoning. I only say believe because my co-workers think I actually got the nasty flu going around and refused to stand near me when I attempted to work Tuesday morning (what is it about teachers who can’t let go and just get better?!) I was out pretty much Sunday-Wednesday this week in pain. 🙁 Luckily, I’m feeling much better and my appetite is back. I was getting sick of saltines and oranges all week so I popped in this flat bread pizza last night. I’ll have to share the recipe soon because it was painless!
Like I said above… it. was. insane. today!!! I’m exhausted. On top of everything, I sent home a note about bringing HEALTHY valentine snacks to school to share. This morning… This is what I’m given. Sugar overdose factory, in my room, today. Thank you for being Friday?!
In 5 days, on the 19th, Jonathan and I will be celebrating our 3rd year together! I seriously cannot believe it’s been 3 years, it really does feel like forever! We will be heading to Birch Bay for the following weekend. I can’t wait. <3
Happy Anniversary! I sent home a note about healthy food, too, and a few listened! We got some fruit trays and string cheese to go along with the cupcakes and cookies!

Haha I always send a note home about healthy food and it never ceases to amaze me how many sweets we get!! I've started writing the food list and assigning food to specific families. This seems to work much better- but I promise it doesn't stop it completely 🙂 My mom always said that she loved contributing cookies because she felt like she was helping out and cookies were a "happy" treat. So I always try to remember that some parents are really trying- even if it feels like they're doing the complete opposite. Waaaay easier said than done. I'm not splendid at it yet!

I know it's all about convenience too! Parents walk in to the grocery store and see the Valentine's cookies and cupcake display and just buy! I really like your idea of a list of foods to sign up for. I'll have to try that next year! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Kelly!
