I made it, I made it!! The first week of school is done! I’m so thankful for a weekend of rest!
My boyfriend and two best friends decided to get a season pass to 7 different shows this year! It balances out to a play every 2 months. We finally received our tickets in the mail and I can’t wait for the first show in October, The Wizard of Oz! The other shows we are seeing are Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Evita, The Lion King (CANT WAIT!), Once & The Book of Mormon!
My new kiddos are getting double, triple and quadruple doses of positivity. One of our assignments this week was creating a writing about our hopes and dreams. The best part? Them posing and pretending to hold onto a balloon in the hallway!
I’m jumping from a Kindergarten mindset to a 3rd and 4th grade teacher. After a few freak outs and late nights, I feel a little better about what I’m doing in the classroom. One day at a time, right?
Our first Math Talk went smoothly! I just put the equation up, told them to think about the process to themselves and then I took raised hands on how you could complete it. This was the first day we did this and they did awesome! It really gives you a sense of what they are capable of in just a few minutes!
This should have been closer to picture one but oh well. I made this cute sign last year for Kindergarten and thought why not try it with the older kids too!
Lastly, I have to share this gem from Pinterest… Hilarious teacher humor but so true! I probably said this about 500 times this week!
I said that a couple times this week, too! I'm so jealous of your tickets! I'm really wanting to see The Book of Mormon…Tell us how it is!
