Here is a preview of my classroom plans this week.

A Peek This Week Into My Classroom

Teaching

Take a peek at my classroom and what I have in store for this week's lessons!

1. Beginning Geometry

Our kiddos and I are jumping into Geometry this week. I’m starting with lines, rays and segments then we will also be covering angles and then finish on Friday with symmetry. We have been working a lot in our interactive notebooks (new to me!) the last week and a half so here are a few resources I found through my pinterest addiction to help me this week!

2. Writer’s Workshop

Here goes nothing! We will begin talking about writer’s workshop in our classroom and set up our writer’s notebook. I’m so use to guiding kindergartners through each step that it is slightly challenging to let go of control with my older kids! I loosen the reins on Daily 5 last week and fed off of what they have already been doing the last couple years. I’m guessing that WW won’t take that long to get up and running!

3. F&P

Lastly, I NEED to catch up on my Fountas & Pinnell reading data! I’m new to using it this year and am insanely slow (or is that just how the test is?). I got 11/2 students done last week, yes you read that correctly. I’ve been searching on my iPad for helpful apps to make the process better… does anyone have any ideas or tips for doing running records more efficiently?

I’m a cuban and puerto rican, living in Seattle, Washington with my husband and pup. I absolutely love working with fellow solopreneurs and online business owners who want their websites to stand out and shine online. ✨

  1. I am behind on my reading assessments too and it is really bothering me. I need to find my groove…

So glad you could link up this week! Come back soon!
