December Weekly Homework Packs

These December Weekly Homework Packets for third graders are the best. After some frustration with homework last year, I completely scrapped what I previously did and went full force with these weekly homework packets. You can read more about my homework evolution here. They are created on a half sheet of paper, print, go and staple and you can send them home quickly. They give your older students a little peace with coloring after they read and then each page is either focused on Reading skills, Writing skills or Math skills. They are completely common core aligned and kiddos absolutely LOVE them and that’s the best part!

Christmas Tree Writing Craft

This Glowing Tree Book is another writing activity perfect to fill any time throughout your school day. It’s another three page writing craftivity that comes in lined or primary lined pages! There has been a great discussion over on my facebook page about what type of writing prompts we could use with these! Here are a few of my favorites but the possibilities are endless!

Last but not least, I’m sharing a little something for AFTER winter break comes. These winter themed acrostic poems are helpful the first couple days back from break. This is also a perfect activity where they can use describing words to explain and share their break with others.
